Overview
As a base for space development in the Kansai area, JAXA opened a Kansai Satellite Office in Creation Core Higashi Osaka (in Higashi Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) in August 2003. At the office, specialists who have been involved in space development are working as coordinators to provide technical support and space business consultations mainly to companies and universities who are interested in the space business.
There is also test facilities in the office for a small satellite to carry out thermal vacuum and vibration tests.
