Thank you very much for visiting the JAXA Web site.
The JAXA Web site (http://www.jaxa.jp/) is the official site of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA.)
Since JAXA was born in October 2003 as a result of the merger of three former organizations, namely the Institute of Space and Aeronautical Science (ISAS), the National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (NAL) and the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA), JAXA has been striving to provide the latest information about JAXA, space development, space science and aerospace technology in an easy-to-understand format. JAXA believes that providing such information is one of our missions as an independent administrative institution.
In February 2007, the JAXA Web site was revamped to make it easier and simpler to use, and more organized to look for information so that everyone can quickly get the latest information.
We will continue our efforts to improve our site by offering our huge amount of information in a well-sorted and easy-to-understand manner.
Most of the pages are listed under one of the following three indices at the top of every site page: "ABOUT JAXA", "MISSIONS", "COLLABORATION ", "PUBLIC RELATIONS/EDUCATION" and "ARCHIVES". Please click on these.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for, use either the "Site Map" of the "Site Search" function.
If any problem arises while viewing the JAXA Web site, for example, an image is partially distorted, please click "Help" to find recommended browsers, character codes, or plug-ins to obtain the necessary software or to set up your Internet environment.
JAXA sends press releases and JAXA Web site update information in RSS format. If you have an RSS reader and register yourself for the RSS Service, you can see a list of the latest JAXA information.
JAXA dispatches press releases when they are issued.
If you wish to use any of the materials including text, drawings/diagrams, images, voices, and movies, or if you wish to have a link to the JAXA Web site, please carefully read the JAXA Site Policy and follow it.
If you would like to use images, movies and other date in the JAXA Digital Archives, please also read through the JAXA Digital Archives Copyright Information.
If you have question about how to use the JAXA Web site, or any comments on the site, please contact us through the format provided. A list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and their answers are also available. Please take a look at them before you send us your questions.
