In the exhibition hall, models of terrestrial observation satellites and images sent from these satellites are on display. This exhibit emphasizes the significance of global environmental issues and the importance of terrestrial observation. Visitors can learn about the technology that makes the study of earth and space possible, about processed-image data, and about the future of terrestrial observation. Groups are welcome. Open-house event for Science and Technology Week at EOC

We will hold an open-house event at the Earth Observation Center (EOC) for the Japan Fiscal Year 2012 Science Week.
We are preparing many enjoyable events including some customary events, such as the exhibition of enlarged photos taken from space, hand-made rocket launches, and making a plastic plate key holder. You can come to our facility and have a picnic with your lunch box. We hope many of you join us.
Date and time:
May 12 (Saturday), 2012, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
* Please enter the facility by 3:30 p.m.
* No admission fee is required.
Major Events:
- Handmade rocket (Sixty groups are selected by drawing lots)
- Lectures (From 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.)
- Making a key holder from a plastic plate
- Moving satellite image corner
- Regional products fairs
- Selling space-related goods
We will plan many other events in addition to the above. Please come to the EOC and join us!

In the lounge area, you can see the latest images taken by satellite from space, and the overall surrounding of the exhibition hall is designed to be comfortable to visitors.
